The River Lodge is approximately 8 kms from Ohakune, situated between Whakapapa, Turoa and Tukino ski fields.  Turoa being the main ski field and a short drive up the mountain.  It is also centrally located to the key trout fishing river systems of Whakapapa, Whanganui and Rangitikei river systems.
Access to The River Lodge is by car, pick up from Ohakune train station, Bus, National Park aerodrome, or pick up from Palmerston Nth international airport (additional cost).
Helicopter pick up and drop off from The River Lodge is also available by arrangement.
